YOUTHS in Kidlington are putting themselves in danger by tampering with bus engines and immobilising them.
Police say three buses have been stopped by a group of five or six vandals who struck in the Grovelands area on Monday and Tuesday evenings this week.
Pc Simon Allen said: "They have found a way of stopping buses which involves exposing the engine. There is a massive fan belt and other moving parts and they are putting themselves at great risk. Somebody is going to get hurt.
"It's a stupid thing to do and anyone caught will be arrested. Somebody in Grovelands may have a pretty good idea who is responsible. We would like to hear from them."
