BUTLER Ian Scott-Hunter found himself transformed into a lord by the magic of television.
The transformation of the 53 year-old butler, who used to be a footman for the Royal family at Buckingham Palace, will be seen nationwide, on March 10, on the show Style Challenge.
Mr Scott-Hunter, of Bignall View, Chesterton, near Bicester, said: "It was great fun - I took some friends with me to see it and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. "
Mr Scott-Hunter underwent a right royal transformation on the show with a makeover, including a haircut and a new outfit fit for a lord.
"The TV people were charming and so professional, putting me at my ease and chatting about my experiences."
Mr Scott-Hunter worked first for his father in a North Wales hotel before being employed in an office for a short time.
Then he went as a footman to Buckingham Palace in the 1970s, where he said he enjoyed the work.
He said: "It was a great honour serving the Royal family."
For the last 15 years he has been butler at the Republic National Bank of New York, in London, organising the catering.
Mr Scott-Hunter is married to wife Rachel and they have a daughter Alexandra, 29, and son Paul, 21, who is now a butler at Hambros Bank in the City of London.
