HOSPITAL manager Carl Powell has been suspended from his Oxford job after staff accused him of being a bully.
Estates manager Mr Powell, who lives in the city, is in charge of land and buildings at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospital sites in Headington.
The Oxford Mail understands several senior staff complained he harassed and intimidated them over several months.
An investigation has been going on since January by NHS officials from outside the Oxford Radcliffe Trust, which manages the hospitals.
It could either recommend a disciplinary hearing, an informal warning or no further action.
Mr Powell could be sacked if a hearing decided he was guilty of gross misconduct.
The trust confirmed Mr Powell, 47, had been suspended from work on full pay since mid-December.
He has been in the job for two years after leaving East Sussex County Council as its director of property services.
