A POLICE sergeant has been sacked after a disciplinary hearing with the chief constable of Thames Valley Police.
Sgt Andrew McIntyre, who was based in Banbury, was found guilty of discreditable conduct and of inciting a member of the force to commit a disciplinary offence.
The disciplinary hearing with Chief Constable Charles Pollard took place last week.
The allegations against Sgt McIntyre concerned his conduct towards female members of staff and a subsequent request to one of his colleagues to make a false statement.
Sgt McIntyre, 39, joined the Thames Valley force in 1984 and was a sergeant in Banbury from 1995. He was suspended from duty just over a year ago.
Supt Matt Holmes, Banbury police area commander, said: "These incidents took place on police premises.
"Details were passed to the complaints and discipline department which carried out a full investigation. The chief constable's decision is the outcome of that investigation.
"This shows the seriousness with which Thames Valley Police treats these kind of complaints."
