An award-winning postmaster, accused of more than £400,000 of false accounting, will appear in court next month.
Tony Summerfield, 57, who ran Kirtlington Post Office Stores in Troy Lane, was suspended from duty after being arrested during a police fraud probe.
He faces seven charges of false accounting dated between March 1992 and March 1998. It is alleged that documents relating to Girobank deposits at Kirtlington sub post office were falsified.
The total amount involved is alleged to be £413,352.
Summerfield, a shopkeeper, was charged at Bicester police station and bailed to appear before Bicester magistrates on July 10.
