Hounded hubby Marc Gunji-Jardine fears he'll end up in hospital - after failing to tape an episode of ER for his wife.
Marc, of Wormald Road, Wallingford, was under strict instructions to video tape a crucial episode of the US hospital drama while ER-crazy wife, Yumi, was in Japan.
But after carefully setting the video recorder last week, he returned home to find his street had suffered a power cut - and the programme had failed to record.
Now he is desperate to find someone who DID tape the programme - or face the wrath of his wife when she returns home todaymorrow(Fri). Marc, 30, a Japanese translator, told the Oxford Mail: "She has only one favourite programme in the world and that is ER. She is absolutely mad about it and has seen every single episode.
"She is the most rational woman in the world, but this is not something she can be rational about. This could mean divorce - or she could come out with a rusty blade!"
Yumi, a huge fan of ER star George Clooney, has been in Tokyo for three weeks visiting her parents with the couple's 18-month-old son, Myles.
Last Wednesday's episode was both the last in the current series - and the last featuring hunky George.
Marc even contacted ER's distributors Warner Bros to try and get hold of a copy of the programme - but was told getting a copy was impossible for copyright reasons. He said: "I am in big, big trouble if I do not find a copy of the programme by the time she comes home. Please, someone help!"
If you have a copy of last Wednesday's ER episode, please call the Oxford Mail newsdesk on 01865 425500.
