THE famous cup of tea and biscuit given to people after they donate blood is under threat in Oxford - because of a lack of volunteers.
The National Blood Service has made an urgent plea for people to help out at the Oxford Blood Centre, at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Volunteers with "a welcoming smile and the ability to brew a good cup of tea" are needed for two-hour duties at the centre. Volunteers should write to: Sharon Townsend, Oxford Blood Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU, or call 01865 447921.
