PETER Ladbrook's resignation as secretary of the Oxfordshire FA after 17 years in the post has been confirmed.
Ladbrook, who had served the OFA for a total of 25 years, gave his reason as the failure to retain the position of the OFA representative on the FA Council after an initial period of five years.
As reported in the Oxford Mail, he lost a crucial vote at an OFA Council meeting at the start of May.
Ladbrook's resignation takes effect from the end of September 1998. He will remain on the OFA Council as an honorary vice-president.
