An 18-year-old man from Wantage has been charged with causing the death of student Gareth Evason by dangerous driving.
Mark Alexander Snewin was charged at Wantage police station yesterday in connection with an incident near the Challow Country Club on May 3.
Police allege he drove a Nissan Cherry dangerously on Woodhill Lane, East Challow, causing the death of Mr Evason, 19.
Snewin, of Roman Way, Wantage, was released on police bail on condition that he does not contact prosecution witnesses, that he keeps away from the Wantage area and lives at an address in Smite, Worcestershire. He is due to appear before Wantage magistrates on July 29.
Mr Evason lived with his parents at Evenlode Close, Grove. He and his younger brother Neil, 18, were taking the same leisure and tourism course at Abingdon College.
