FORGET England, Oxford Stadium will be the place to be tonight when Gresham Oxford Cheetahs take on the might of Ipswich, Tomaz Gollob and all.
Mind you, the big match won't be totally ignored as it will be shown on all the TV monitors at the Stadium.
However, for dedicated speedway fans Sandy Lane is the only place to be.
In addition to the controversial Polish grand prix star Gollob, the Witches have the brilliant grand prix leader Tony Rickardsson and England No 1 Chris Louis in their ranks as they bid to extend their big lead at the top of the Elite League.
Cheetahs came close to lowering the Witches' colours at Foxhall two weeks ago when their total of 42 points was the highest by a visiting side this year.
Cheetahs' expectations of new signing Todd Wiltshire were not done any good by his poor showing at King's Lynn on Wednesday in the narrow 47-43 defeat.
Much more heartening at Saddlebow Road were the performances of Steve Johnston and Jason Crump, who now ride together in heat 1 in the new order.
Oxford: Crump, Johnston, Wiltshire, Hurry, Schofield, Staechmann.
Ipswich: Louis, Nicholls, Rickardsson, Gollob, Clouting, Svab.
