Campaigners plan to rip up genetically-modified crops in a series of farm raids.
The first actions this weekend are intended to be the start of a mass campaign of non-violent protests.
The group Genetix Snowball has written to farmers in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire who have leased test sites to agricultural chemical companies, informing them of the action and inviting them to join in.
Campaigners plan to dig up a sample of crops growing at test sites and leave them in sealed bags for disposal by the authorities as contaminated material.
