Two men died in separate road accidents in Oxfordshire last night.
In the first incident, a man in his 20s died after his Vauxhall Astra car collided with a Leyland Daf lorry on the A418 in Tiddington, near Thame, shortly before 5pm.
The driver, who is thought to be from the Oxford area but has not yet been named, was declared dead at the scene by a doctor.
The driver of the lorry was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with head injuries.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
In the second smash, a 69-year-old man from Essex died when his bicycle was involved in a collision with a Saab car on the A424 Burford to Stow road at Idbury. Paramedics were called to the crash scene at 6.55pm, but the pensioner, who will not be named until relatives have been informed, was already dead.
Referring to the crash at Tiddington, Sgt Eddie Lord, of Aylesbury traffic police, said: "It would appear that for some reason the car has gone on to the wrong side of the road and a collision has occurred.
"The impact sent the car back to its correct side of the road and on to a grass verge and the lorry went across the road into a nearby field."
Police are appealing for witnesses to the Tiddington accident to contact Pc Ian McAdam on 01296 396105.
