A toddler group has been saved from closure by a group of mothers.

The group, which meets in Witney's Burwell Community Hall, was in danger of folding through lack of support.

A new committee has been formed and the Burwell Mother and Toddler Group will be restarting on Wednesday, September 2.

One mum, Liz O'Sullivan, said: "We need local support. Attendance has dropped off recently and the new committee would like to encourage people to return and to welcome new members."

The group meets every Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm and has a variety of toys available for toddlers to play with as well as a separate area set aside for younger babies.

Mrs O'Sullivan added: "We also have a craft table with various activities, musical instruments and end each afternoon with a sing-song."
