Lucy the duck has found a rather unusual place to lay her eggs this year - in the hanging basket of The Duke of York pub, Norfolk Street, Oxford.
The duck has been visiting the pub for the past three years, but this is the first time she has chosen such a strange nesting spot.
Landlady Chris Wheatley said: "Normally she lays her eggs on the patio roof.
"But this year the wet weather forced her to find a more sheltered place. She tried the garden but the dogs scared her off so now she's in one of the hanging baskets."
Chris added: "She's been up there for about three weeks now and seems quite happy."
Staff named their feathered friend after one of the pub's regulars.
Chris said: "There's an elderly couple who come in called Lucy and Jim. Every time I see them she says, 'How are you, my duck'. So it seemed like a good name.
