A memorial to lightning victim Danny Foster could be built in his village.
Chalgrove parish councillors will discuss the idea to remember the 12 year old when they meet this week.
Villagers have been laying floral tributes to Danny, of Chibnall Close, at the spot on the recreation ground where he was struck on Saturday.
Council chairman Adrian Nixey said: "People are often remembered by putting up seats, although whether that is an appropriate thing for a young lad is another thing.
"I hope a good number of councillors will turn out at the meeting. We will give some thought to these things."
Danny died at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, four hours after being struck.
Two friends who were with him - Thomas Sunderland and Matthew Bell - were treated in hospital for shock and minor burns.
A post mortem examination was due to be carried out today and an inquest is due to open at Oxford tomorrow.
