FORTUNES are set to turn full circle for Banbury discus thrower Perriss Wilkins.
A dream of a place in the European Championships which get under way in Budapest on August 18, and Commonwealth Games turned into a nightmare at the AAAs Championships ten days ago, when Wilkins could only finish fourth.
However, the British record-holder's name was quickly added to England's Games squad despite finishing out of the top two places.
But a place at the Europeans appeared to have eluded him.
"My coach has been told he is definitely going and he's not going anywhere without me," Wilkins said last night.
The Great Britain selectors meet on Friday to finalise their party and Wilkins is expecting a call the next morning to confirm his inclusion.
The 29-year-old Banbury Harrier has been resting since his baffling blow-up in Birmingham but he will be back in the discus circle on Friday in a special Channel 4 challenge event.
