There's nothing wrong with a wet summer for Inca the tapir. And as for the odd heatwave, she can cope with that too with no problem.
The youngster is one of a group of new arrivals - together with a litter of meercats - at Burford's Cotswold Wildlife Park.
The geography may be a bit strange to her - the species comes from the rainforests of South America - but the weather has been just like home. Colin Fountain, the park's general manager, said: "Even as a new-born, Inca is well-equipped to cope with our unpredictable English summer. Tapirs have an oily skin adapted to their natural habitat which protects against the elements."
Inca's mum, Squidge, has now had four babies at the park. Inca's dad is Timmy, who lives at Dudley Zoo in the West Midlands.
