A cyclist who died after he was involved in a collision with a lorry on a dual carriageway, has been named by police.
Robert Hutchings, 56, suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the A34 near Abingdon just after 9am on Monday.
The victim, who lived in Norman Avenue, Abingdon, had been travelling north, close to the Lodge Hill junction, when the accident happened.
The lorry involved was being driven by Italian driver Andrea Boldari. Police called in an interpreter to speak to him about the accident.
Pc Paul Langford said that, although cyclists were allowed to use the A34, they often tried to find alternative routes because of the road's fast-moving traffic.
Witnesses who saw the accident are urged to call Witney police on 01235 776483.
