A driver stopped by police was found to have drugs with a potential street value of £100,000 in the car.
Anthony Garlick, 40, of Lockinge Close, Didcot, said he was delivering the drugs for someone else when he was stopped and his car searched in Wallingford on June 22.
She said the amphetamine-based class B controlled drug was 40 per cent pure. "If it were 'cut' with glucose and was three per cent pure, it would have a street value of £100,000. If it were cut at six per cent, it would have a commensurate less value." Garlick also produced an envelope containing £950 during the search on June 22.
He pleaded guilty yesterday at Didcot Magistrates Court to possessing amphetamine with intent to supply and possessing cannabis. He will be sentenced at Oxford Crown Courtt twas committed to Oxford Crown Court for sentence.
Sabeha Khan, defending, said Garlick was only making the delivery for another person. She also said that because the amphetamine had not been mixed with glucose, the form in which it is normally sold, its realistic street value was between £2,000 and £4,000.
He was remanded on unconditional bail and granted legal aid for the Crown Court hearing.
