Travellers have set up home on a new sports ground.
Police in Kidlington have spent this week moving on groups of travellers from sites in the area.
They have now served an eviction notice on a group who have put about 20 vans on the new sports ground at Stratfield Brake, just off Kidlington roundabout, where a new slip road was recently built.
Sgt Bill Butcher, of Kidlington police, said that they moved onto the new site on Wednesday evening while officers were serving notice on a small group at the old Gosford All Blacks ground in Langford Lane.
Police and Cherwell District Council, who own Stratfield Brake, gave the travellers 24 hours to move off the sports ground where rugby, football and cricket pitches have been laid recently.
Sgt Butcher said: "Of course the slip road has just been finished."
He also moved on some travellers from Cassington on Tuesday and said they often had this problem in the summer.
