Former chef Nigel Amis has been found guilty of indecently assaulting a nine-year-old girl.
It took the jury at Oxford Crown Court three and a half hours to reach a majority verdict of ten to two. Amis looked stunned as their verdict was read out.
Judge Charles Harris ordered a pre-sentence report and granted Amis bail.
The girl, who is now ten, told the court Amis, 22, formerly of Sturdy's Castle, Banbury Road, Tackley, assaulted her between May and Decembe r last year.
She said he told her to play with him and that he touched her indecently.
"He stared at me...and said...'don't tell anybody'.
"I knew he had done something wrong. It didn't feel right."
WPc Natalie Howard explained during the trial that it wasn't until a biology lesson that the girl realised Amis's actions were not right.
The court heard Amis had previously worked as a chef at various places, including Kingham Hill School, Kingham.
He is currently working in Witney, making helmets for police officers.
