Four pub regulars and their landlord lost hair from a combination of their heads, chests, backs and legs to raise money for the elderly.
Larry Hammans, who runs The Fox Inn in High Street, Steventon, and four of his regulars - Anthony Joyce, Michael Hancock, Geoff Mulford and Alan Toner - agreed to lose their hair to help boost the Steventon Friendly Society's funds.
The society helps provide a Christmas dinner, with as much drink as they want, for the village's elderly each year as well as taking them out on a summer outing.
Mrs Gillian Mulford, a committee member who persuaded her husband Geoff to have his legs waxed, said: "We women have it done all the time.It is not as uncomfortable as they think."
Mr Hammans hopes more than £1,000 will be donated to the society overall.
