A former Fox FM disc jockey rubbed ice cubes into a teenage girl's chest and sexually assaulted another in pub toilets, a court heard.
Radio presenter Phil Simmons, 33, grabbed the groin of one of the girls and tried to smother her with kisses before carrying out other indecent acts, Witney magistrates were told yesterday (THURS).
Simmons, of Stockcross, Newbury, is charged with two counts of indecently assaulting two women on March 27 at The Grapes pub in Yarnton, near Oxford. He denies the charges.
The 18-year-old woman, who cannot be named, said she first met Simmons when she went to chat with friends playing pool. She said: "He told me he was Phil Simmons from Fox FM. He went to kiss me on the lips. I moved and he kissed me on the cheek. "
The teenager then alleged the DJ approached her at a table in the pub, where she was assaulted.
She said: "The next thing I remember was Mr Simmons coming up behind me with ice, threatening to throw it down my back. He then came up behind me and put his arms over my shoulders. "He was leaning forward and put his hands into my shirt, under my T-shirt and inside my bra. He was rubbing ice into my chest. I was embarrassed and disgusted that he could do that to me."
She then claimed that Simmons pushed her outside through the fire exit, where he then grabbed the crotch of her trousers. She claimed: "He was trying to touch me through my trousers and trying to undo my belt. He was still trying to kiss me."
The teenager told the court she then managed to free herself and ran back into the pub. A second woman told magistrates she was also indecently assaulted by Simmons the same night. She claimed said the disc jockey made references about them sleeping together which she didn't take too seriously. Shortly afterwards he followed her into the women's toilets, where he grabbed her breast, she claimed.
Simmons had been working at Fox FM for a year and started a full-time job with the station just days after the accusations were made, the court heard.
He vehemently denied the assaults to detectives.
He told them: "I don't do things like this."
Paddy Roche, defending, accused both women of making up their stories. He said the first girl had willingly gone outside with Simmons, had tried to kiss him and Simmons had broken it off. The second girl was drunk, Mr Roche added.
A spokesman for Fox FM said: "Phil Simmons no longer works for us and left the station on July 31."
The case continues.
