Schoolboy Adam Baker won a contest to design the best anti-smoking poster - even though his own mother puffs on 20 a day.
Jean Baker, 36, of Barns Road, Cowley, Oxford, cannot resist lighting up - despite constant nagging from her son.
Adam said: "I hate her smoking because it fills up the room. Sometimes it smells and I have asthma - although all the windows are open when she smokes."
The ten-year-old designed a poster depicting smokers with blackened lungs, which caught the eye of judges at the Headington branch of Boots.
Now his poster has been entered in a national contest, with the winner having his artwork published in a new Government anti-smoking book.
Adam spent many years in the United States which has very strict anti-smoking laws - including smoking bans in some restaurants and public places - and says it influenced his views.
Jean said: "He is entitled to his opinion on anything.
"I am proud he has won the competition."
Boots stores across the country have chosen individual winners, to be entered into the national contest.
