MALCOLM Shotton tried out two Argentinian players in a friendly match for his reserves at Banbury United last night, which Oxford won 2-0.
Central defender German Tempone, 25, and 19-year-old midfielder Christian Otero were brought to Oxford by an agent and have paid all their own costs to date.
The diminutive Otero in particular, caught the eye in a performance that must have impressed the Oxford United management.
Danny Hill, Andy Thomson, Anthony Wright and David Smith were prominent for Oxford, with Ben Henshaw and sub Adam Hamp scoring the goals.
