Father and son team Tim and William King plan to climb Mount Snowdon - barefoot!
The pair, of Beckley Court, Beckley, near Oxford, are to climb the Welsh mountain dressed as a Nepalese porters to help fund a trip William is making to Nepal in October to do charity work. William will be working for an organisation called Students Partnership Worldwide which aims to improve conditions for people living in remote areas of the Himalayas. Both father and son are experienced climbers.
William said: "I have been climbing on crags and in the mountains with my father since I was seven years of age so Snowdon shouldn't be a problem."
William, 18, who plans to go to university next year, said he is looking forward to the climb.
"I have got mixed feelings, but it should be a good laugh, " he said.
"Hopefully the weather won't be too bad and I am sure we will be fine."
