A COMPANY specialising in large-scale undercover work has had a £6.5m investment boost.
De Boer Structures sets up exhibition halls and chalets for some of the world's top shows and sporting events.
Earlier this month the firm, based in Middleton Road, Banbury, put up the widest temporary structure in the world for the Farnborough Air Show as part of a £6.5m investment by the company to upgrade the show structures at the show. A team of 20 construction experts from England, Holland and Belgium put up almost 90,000 sq m of exhibition halls and chalets in just 30 days for the show.
Most of the double-decker chalets were equipped with workstations, meeting rooms and boardrooms, complete with made-to-measure furniture.
Farnborough '98 is the largest exhibition contract that has ever been awarded in Europe.
De Boer Structures is a family-owned Dutch company.
