Mulder and Scully may be top of the TV ratings but even they would struggle to explain the mystery of the afterlife or the real identity of ghosts.
Paranormal expert Michael Penfold could teach them a thing or two and promises to reveal the 'absolute truth' at three X-File lectures in Bicester at the weekend.
Mr Penfold, 34, of Waveney Close, Bicester, said: "I've called them X-File lectures because that is all the rage and people can relate to that."
But he added: "I think the programme is somewhat sensational."
Mr Penfold started reading about the paranormal ten years ago and says research shows overwhelming evidence for the existence of angels and demons in another dimension which we cannot access.
" I want people to hear me and then make their own mind up," he said.
"It's not a brain-washing session but an introduction to the absolute truth," he said.
The free lectures, at the County Club, on Chapel Street, run from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
