School paintings and works of art usually find pride of place in the main hall or canteen, to be admired by friends and relatives during parents' evenings or on open days.
But a dozen paintings from pupils of Southwold School, in Holm Way, Bicester, will go global after being selected to adorn the Save the Children charity calendar for next year.
Thousands of people, not just in this country, but around the world, will be able to admire the children's work which includes sledges for January, witches for October and a snow man and carol singers for December.
Headteacher Paula Protherough said the school was commissioned to do the £7.99 calendar after a friend of her's spotted some of the artwork on the school walls.
She said: "She's a friend of mine who makes calendars. She took some of the paintings which Save the Children liked and we were asked to do some more.
"Loads more pictures were painted by the children across the whole range of ages, from six to 11, and 12 were selected for the calendar."
The paintings were done more than a year ago and the new calendars have only just been printed as people prepare to purchase new ones for the coming year.
"Only two pupils have left since the paintings were done and we all feel extremely proud of what the school has achieved," added Mrs Protherough.
