Top band Radiohead is backing Amnesty International by heading an all-star concert in Paris in December.
The award-winning Oxford band, fronted by Thom Yorke, will be performing at the Bercy Stadium on December 10, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
A spokesman for Amnesty International said the concert was Radiohead's first gig of the year.
The bill will also feature Alanis Morissette, Peter Gabriel and Tracy Chapman and the Asian Dub Foundation. United Nations special envoy Kofi Anan will also be at the concert, and special guests are yet to be announced.
Later this month(oct) Amnesty International will be staging a two-day London conference at Westminster Central Hall which will also mark the 50th anniversary of Human Rights.
Full details of the Paris concert are to be released by Amnesty International today. (Thursday).
Meanwhile the band are set to play alongside US singer Alanis Morissette at what is expected to be the biggest human rights concert for a decade in support of Amnesty International.
Peter Gabriel and Tracy Chapman will also star at the concert, at Bercy Stadium in Paris, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Amnesty International and the Body Shop have organised the event on December 10, which is expected to be a major international concert.
A statement from Radiohead said: "The Amnesty International human rights concert in Paris will be our only European appearance this year."
