It was champers all round when a pub syndicate won £72,000 on the Lottery.
Landlord Trevor Cooper and his wife Ann are celebrating five winning numbers and a bonus ball along with 11 other regulars at the Five Bells village pub, Broadwell, near Carterton.
They were just one number, 18, short of hitting the jackpot and getting into the millions.
Trevor said: "Funnily enough, it's my wife's favourite number. It's the day of our wedding anniversary, September 18."
The shareout amounts to about £5,500 each between Trevor and Ann and the rest of the syndicate - three couples, two men and three women.
The couple have been running the pub for five years and the Lottery syndicate started up over two years ago. They are all getting together to celebrate on Saturday.
