PHIL Gilchrist and Les Robinson are expected to shake off knocks to play for the U's tomorrow - but Matt Murphy may struggle to make it.

Both Gilchrist (heel) and Robinson (head) needed stitches following United's 3-0 win over West Brom.

But Murphy, who came on as a second-half substitute, is more of a worry after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring strain.

Under boss Peter Jackson, Huddersfield have surprised many this season. They lost at Bolton last week, but in Wayne Allison, former U's target Marcus Stewart and ex-Manchester United winger Ben Thornley they have a powerful front trio.

"It's another one of my old clubs and I know Jacko well," Shotton said. "It doesn't surprise me that they're doing well, they've got several good players in the team."

Shotton was captain at Huddersfield after moving there from Portsmouth and United striker Dean Windass also has a special reason for wanting to do well.

"Huddersfield's reserve team manager Terry Dolan was my old boss at Hull, when Malcolm was there too. I'll be having a drink with Terry on Saturday night so it'll be nice to put one over him if we can."

"All the players are buzzing because we're playing well at the moment and when you're in that mood the games can't come quick enough."

"Every one of us knows what job we have to do and we need to keep working hard," said Windass.

Huddersfield midfielder Grant Johnson is expected to have shaken off a dead leg sustained in the 1-1 draw at Stockport in midweek.

The Terriers play an ambitious 5-2-3 formation.

UNITED'S reserve team midfielder Anthony Wright has been called up by Wales Under 21s for European Championship ties in Denmark on October 9 and against Belarus at Barry Town on October 13.
