Police stormed a bank after a man demanded money from a cashier.
Two men started arguing at the Midland Bank at Carfax at 5pm yesterday as staff were preparing to close. One demanded money from the other before turning on the cashier. Staff raised the alarm and startled shoppers saw ten officers in riot helmets and flak jackets run into the building. A man was later bundled into a police van. Eye-witness Gemma Simms said: "I was standing outside the bank and about five or six officers with police dogs were yelling at everyone to get out of the way.
"I looked through the window and They pinned down a guy and were kneeling on him before dragging him out.
"They bundled him into a police van and he kept trying to get out. It was pretty dramatic."
Police spokesman Richard Goodfellow said two men were arrested at the scene and a third was stopped in the street. They were later Three men were interviewed at St Aldate's police station and released without charge.
