OXFORD City striker Jermaine McSporran made a stunning debut for Arsenal Res by scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Avon Combination leaders Charlton Res at Welling United last night.
The 21-year-old forward, who is on a week's trial at Highbury, hit the first and third goals in a tremendous individual display.
He starred in an Arsenal team which also included Steve Bould, Michael Hughes and Remi Garde.
City manager Paul Lee said: "I didn't go last night, but Kelvin Alexis, my assistant, went and watched him.
"He said they were two quality goals and he played very well."
McSporran's performance can only have increased Arsenal's interest in the Risinghurst-based player, and it would be no surprise if the Gunners now came in with a bid for him.
Lee added: "He is up there for the remainder of this week and we will just wait and see what happens."
