Environment chiefs are keeping an eye on the rivers due to the prospect of heavy rainfall.
Many people fear a repetition of the Easter floods which brought chaos to north Oxfordshire as homes were flooded and transport ground to a halt.
But despite predictions of heavy showers for the weekend, the Environment Agency said issuing a flood warning would be extremely premature.
Spokesman Catherine Cook said: "We are trying to reassure people not to worry as there is no indication of flooding yet.
"We do not know quite how heavy it is going to be but we are keeping an eye on it. It all depends on low pressure as to where the rain will fall."
