A bus driver's hand was slashed when two youths tried to steal his takings last night.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm after the two teenagers boarded a service in Pegasus Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
They tried to grab his takings. When the bus driver resisted he was slashed on the back of the hand. The type of weapon they used is not yet know.
The offenders fled after failing to steal the money.
Police were contacted and the bus driver was treated in hospital for the wound to his hand.
Both the offenders were described as Afro-Caribbean and were aged about 16.
They were both about 5ft 8in tall and wore green bomber jackets.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks on bus drivers in the city this year.
