A teenager was recovering in hospital today after suffering a punctured lung in a knife attack.
A resident of Mallard Close, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, dialled 999 when the 18-year-old appeared on her doorstep with a stab wound to his chest at 8.40pm yesterday.
Paramedics rushed him to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where he was treated for a punctured lung. His condition was described as stable today.
Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and were being questioned at St Aldate's police station.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are asking anyone with information to call 01865 266333.
