nearly nabs Hezza Top Tory Michael Heseltine nearly picked up more than he bargained for when he visited an Oxfam shop - a parking ticket.
The Henley MP's chauffeur had parked his boss's Jaguar on double yellow lines outside the shop in Cornmarket, Thame.
Eagle-eyed traffic warden Ros Anderson spotted it and suggested the chauffeur moved it.
When he was slow to do so she took out her book and suggested he drove round the block.
But at that moment Mr Heseltine came rushing from the shop and leaped into the car, which sped off into North Street.
Mrs Anderson commented: "I didn't know it was Mr Heseltine's car, but the double lines are there for everyone to take notice of and the car would have got a ticket."
Mr Heseltine had been visiting the shop and cutting a cake to celebrate its 18th birthday.
He met manager Veronica Tester and staff - and bought two packs of Christmas cards.
Dr Tester said: "It was good having our MP acknowledge our work with his visit. It was a very special occasion."
Dr Tester praised Thame people for their generosity. "Every time a disaster makes the news, like the current one in central America, people flock to the shop to buy things to add their little bit to the relief funds," she said.
