Distributing the posters is just one of the many tasks Oxfordshire arts worker Jason Henry will now be undertaking, as part of his Arts Marketing Traineeship.
Thanks to an Arts Council Lottery Grant of £239,000 from Arts for Everyone, MAX (Marketing The Arts in Oxfordshire) has also been able to give Jason, 19, of Rose Hill, Oxford, the chance to help develop a new entertainment magazine, aimed at young people in the county. This will be launched in January.
The magazine (which is yet to be named) will be written and edited by young people. Its main aim will be to encourage their interest in the arts
Jason will head the magazine's distribution network and make sure it reaches its potential readership. He is delighted to be involved in the project. He said: "Arts marketing is a relatively new profession and I am really enjoying working with the people in the industry.
"This Arts for Everyone project is a brilliant idea and I am positive that it will work."
He added: "We hope the magazine hits all the right channels and will encourage young people to get involved with something that is constructive and fun." Jason would like to hear from anyone interested in working on the magazine. He can be contacted on 01865 511521.
