Joey Beauchamp admits he's been feeling the pressure of being regarded as a walking meal ticket around the Manor Ground, writes JON MURRAY.
He knows that many of the staff who haven't been paid for weeks are eyeing him as their chance to get their dues.
And when his move to Nottingham Forest fell through he said he felt he'd let them down!
"I'm just worried for everyone. Everyone's relying on the money," he said. "Obviously I feel the pressure.
"I feel bad about it and feel for the gaffer and the staff who would have got paid had I gone. They were depending on it.
"The gaffer's not putting any pressure on me, he's not saying 'get out of the bloody door' or anything like that, but I know that if they sell me there's a lot of people here who'll get paid. I feel a bit like a walking pay packet for them."
"But there's nothing I can do about it. I'm back here and that's it. It was out of my hands. It was from Forest that it broke down, not me turning them down. In the end we didn't get as far as talking about personal terms."
