A fourth defendant in the trial of six people accused of killing two Oxford youngsters in an arson attack has been found guilty of murder.
The Birmingham Crown Court jury found Haq Nawaz, 31, of Ridge Road, Letchworth, Hertfordshire, guilty on two counts of murder by majority verdicts of 11 to one.
Anum Khan, nine, died in the fire at her home in Magdalen Road, east Oxford, on August 26 last year. Her brother Majid, 15, died two days later. after suffering severe burns.
A member of the Khan family shouted "Yes!" when the guilty verdict was read out.
On Monday the jury found fellow accused Alan Swanton and Thomas Liedl, both 19, of Letchworth, both guilty of murder on the two counts by identical 11 to one majority verdicts.
They later found Haq Nawaz's brother, Mohammed, 21, also of Ridge Road, Letchworth, guilty of the two murders by an 11 to one majority verdict. The jury has been out for 18 hours and is still considering verdicts on Haroon Sharif, 20, of Morrell Avenue, Oxford, and Riaz Munshi, 26, of Fulwell Road, Sheffield.
All six denied the murder charges.
