MORE than 80 Hartwell trainees and apprentices have celebrated completing their National Vocational Qualifications in a range of motoring subjects. These included motor vehicle servicing, body repairs, vehicle refinishing, parts, sales and administration operations.
They received their awards at a graduation ceremony at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon in Warwickshire. Alan Clark, chairman of the Motor Industry Training Council attended the awards ceremony, along with Ian Anderson, managing director of National Training Provider, which secures the funding for the NVQs. Also present was Roy Ward, director general of The Institute of the Motor Industry. The Hartwell trainees were welcomed by Edward McCabe, group managing director of Hartwell plc, and received their certificates from Norman Rackham, Hartwell's after sales director. Paul Davey received the Best Trainee/Apprentice Award and the Most Outstanding Achievement Award went to Ms Sheree Oliver.
