HARTWELL Ford has hosted a workshop for primary teachers to promote the Ford-sponsored educational pack Motoring Through History.
The pack was launched by Ford last year, and has been designed for teachers of seven to 11-year-olds.
It celebrates 100 years of the Ford motor car and contains science and technology activities relating to cars.
Activities include making a pneumatic brake drum from plastic tubing, card and glue: making gears from lolly sticks and performing crash testing using wooden buggies and dolls.
Malcolm Fearn, director and general manager at Hartwell Ford, said: "We hope to establish links between our dealership and local schools which will hopefully enhance children's classroom learning."
Teachers attending the workshop came from schools in Oxfordshire including, St Barnabas First School, Windale First School, St Andrew's First School, Sunningwell CofE Primary, St Andrew's School, St Aloysius RC First School, Larkrise First School and St Edmund's RC Primary School.
