A WINDSCREEN repair kit is being marketed by Banbury accessory manufacturer Summit Automotive. The £10 kit uses a syringe to draw the air out of a windscreen chip and inject a specially formulated adhesive into the space to leave the screen free from distortion.
New V40
VOLVO has extended its V40 fastback estate range with the introduction of a new 1.6-litre model. Mechanically identical to the S40 1.6 saloon, the V40 1.6 is priced from £14,745 on the road.
Fab Ford
FORD is building on its Ford Mondeo Racing British Touring Car Championship programme with the introduction of the new high-performance Mondeo ST-200, powered by a 200 horsepower 2.5-litre V6 engine. It will go on sale early next year when prices will be announced.

VAUXHALL owners and drivers can beat the winter breakdown blues for £35. Available on most Vauxhall cars and vans registered from August 1, 1988, Wintercare is a warranty 'insuring' the cooling system against failure for 12,000 miles or until April 30, 1999. Additionally, if any of the checked components fail during this warranty period, a Vauxhall dealer will replace them free.
Classic days
A RECORD 31,116 people attended the two-day International Classic Motor Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, earlier this month. The theme of next spring's show, on May 1 and 2, 1999, will be specialist British sports cars.
Arosa first
BRITAIN'S first compact supermini to offer a 12-year bodyshell warranty is the SEAT Arosa, which is the first small car to gain galvanised bodyshell protection. The new 1999 model year Arosa range also brings enhancements such as a wider front track and improved security features.
