CHRYSLER Jeep has announced that it is launching the revolutionary PT Cruiser on to the UK market early next year as a bold new shape for the next millennium.
Revealed at this month's Detroit Auto Show, the PT Cruiser has borrowed design cues from classic American cars and interpreted them with a strong dose of American fun.
Richard Mackay, managing director of Chrysler Jeep Imports UK, said: "When our dealers begin sales of this remarkable new car in less than 18 months' time it will provide British motorists with an opportunity to enjoy a rare taste of classic American style, fun and freedom on the road."
Production of the front-wheel drive PT Cruiser, including right-hand drive vehicles for the UK, will begin early in the year 2000 at DaimlerChrysler's Toluca Assembly Plant, Mexico.
