THE ten outfield heroes in Oxford United's FA Cup epic with Chelsea look set to be rewarded by keeping their places for tomorrow's Division 1 game against Barnsley at the Manor Ground.
The unlucky one is goalkeeper Elliot Jackson, who is expected to drop down following Paul Gerrard's return from Everton for a second month's loan.
After enjoying the sumptous cream tea, Chelsea Bun and all, of their FA Cup meeting with the Premiership leaders, it's back to the bread-and-butter of league football and improving a poor home record.
For United manager Malcolm Shotton, it's a first Manor meeting with Barnsley, the club for whom he played and then coached. He faced them earlier in the season at Oakwell when Barnsley won 1-0. The U's have just one injury doubt, with midfielder Nicky Banger receiving treatment yesterday for a stiff back.
Kevin Francis seems likely to be on the bench again, ready to come on in the second half.
The Tykes have problems in attack, even after the £1m signing of Mike Sheron from QPR.
That's because Sheron, who hasn't played since Boxing Day, has a hamstring injury which will keep him out for at least another fortnight.
Don Goodman has also been struggling with a hamstring injury, but is expected to continue up front.
United envisage putting tickets for the FA Cup replay at Chelsea on open sale after tomorrow's home game.
These will be on the basis of one ticket per person and the club will only accept payment by cash.
It's likely that turnstiles will be opened for fans to pass through to buy a ticket, but details have not yet been finalised and will be announced at the game.
United will also be issuing vouchers at the turnstiles as supporters enter for the Barnsley game and fans are advised to keep these for further use.
