THE Seventies revival has hit the road, according to a new study.
The decade that gave us flares, sideburns and platform shoes is now back in vogue on car stereos nationwide.
Motorists are bypassing chart hits and middle of the road music while driving for seventies rock and party anthems.
Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is what we most enjoy singing along to behind the wheel, the survey for Autoglass found.
Six out of the top ten tunes for an in-car singalong are seventies classics like Dancing Queen and Summer Breeze.
Autoglass spokeswoman Karen Tovey said: "All our top ten driving songs are great party numbers from legends like Queen, Abba and the Isley Brothers.
"The whole world may be a stage. But the whole road's a dance floor".
Two years ago motorists preferred middle of the road songs. John Denver's Country Roads was top.
Karen said: "The decline of road rage explains the change. People used to drive to music to calm down to. Now the in-car singalong is back."
The survey also revealed that more than a third admitted they break speed limits when loud music is played on their car stereo.
One in ten say they drive more than ten miles an hour faster when they turn up the volume.
