after 'fighting' SUMMERTOWN Stars have been charged by the Oxfordshire FA following the abandonment of their B-Line Oxford Boys League Under 16 side's cup tie against Didcot Town on Sunday.
The game was called off in the 72nd minute after, according to the referee's report, fighting broke out between the players of both sides. Didcot, who like Stars had a boy sent off, were leading 4-2 at the time.
David Hovard, the Oxon FA's discplinary secretary, confirmed that Summertown had been charged with misconduct. The Berks & Bucks FA, who have authority over Didcot, confirmed that they had received the referee's report but had not yet acted upon it.
