POLICE have charged a 24-year-old man with the murder of a teenage boy, found dead in Oxford's notorious Angel Meadow.
Richard Jackson, 16, was found lying in a puddle at the park off St Clements on January 29.
Oxford police arrested the man on Thursday after travelling to Cardiff.
He was then taken for questioning at St Aldate's police station.
The man, who had not been named by the time we went to press, was appearing today before magistrates in Oxford.
Richard, of Brassey Close, Chipping Norton, left his family home to move to Oxford and had been living at the Bridge Project, a centre for the homeless in Iffley Road, shortly before he died.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Richard Jackson.
"He will appear before Oxford magistrates."
