Parachutist Nigel Rogoff is undergoing four operations a week after a horrific accident at Aston Villa football ground in December.
Flt Sgt Rogoff, 39, who lives in Stonesfield, near Woodstock, is a member of the Hawk Parachute Team, based at RAF Brize Norton.
He was badly injured when he hit the stand, dressed as Father Christmas, during a half-time parachuting display.
Surgeons at Birmingham's City Hospital are operating on his left leg every other day after it developed an infection.
